  Sea turtles once roamed the oceans by the millions, but over the past few centuries the demand for sea turtle meat, eggs, shell, leather and oil has greatly reduced their numbers. Populations continue to decline as habitat is lost and the trade in sea turtle products continues. Every year, thousands of sea turtles drown in shrimp trawls and other fishing gear and others die from pollutants or from swallowing trash mistaken for food. Many hatchling sea turtles are disoriented by bright lights near beaches and wander away from the ocean to be crushed by cars or stranded. Concern for the plight of sea turtles is growing and people around the world are working to protect them on nesting beaches and at sea.

Save the sea turtles from this injustice.

WE FOUND OUT WE WERE TIGHTER, FUNNER,AND JUST AS GOOFY AS WE EVER WERE...BUT WE REALIZE THAT WE ARE IN A SITUATION WHERE WE CAN CALL OUR OWN SHOTS, BASED ON THE SUCCESS OF THE BAND AND CD SALES.   kenny, why do you search and replace your code like this:

$name[1] =~ tr/+/ /;
$name[1] =~ s/%([0-9a-hA-H]{2})/pack("c",hex($1))/ge;
$name[1] =~ s/</</g;
$name[1] =~ s/>/>/g;

$email[1] =~ tr/[A-Z]/[a-z]/;
$email[1] =~ tr/+/ /;
$email[1] =~ s/%([0-9a-hA-H]{2})/pack("c",hex($1))/ge;
$email[1] =~ s/</</g;
$email[1] =~ s/>/>/g;

$comment[1] =~ tr/+/ /;
$comment[1] =~ s/%([0-9a-hA-H]{2})/pack("c",hex($1))/ge;
$comment[1] =~ s/</</g;

when you could do it like this:

foreach KV (@in){
($K,$V) = split(/=/,$KV);
$V =~ tr/+/ /;
$V =~ s/%([0-9a-hA-H]{2})/pack("c",hex($1))/ge;
$V =~ s/\</<\;/g;
$V =~ s/\>/>\;/g;
${$K} = $V;
}

much shorter, plus if you have a long form this never changes size.

  PETA recieved a $100 check from the people behind Smoking Joe. I ran right out and beat
my neighbors cat with a rolled up issue of this month's fly fishing for the
armless and legless.

So seriously , I would be willing to pay $25 more to get the unfinished CD.
I would strangle my aunt for a chance to hear it one last time before I have
my hair plugged.

So my mom left me and I am alone waiting on Tim and his wonder machine that
will make me lose weight and probilily start fights less often with the mailman.

Tim is a great guy! He worked hard and he did everything he promised. He is a
shining example of why my Grandparents shot at the gardener again last week. He
has a smile that could bring down a TWA flight 808 and still shave the hairs off
an ape.

Thank you for all the enjoyment and the pickup lines. I always seem to find the
best out of this group but Tim, we all have a feeling he has his hands in his
pants looking for loss change and a new comb. Slap suzzie and spank sally.

Thanks agains!

  Website Updates:
  • Added recent band photos from The Reactor Club. These images were shot by the world famous photographer known simply as "O" or "The Big O". Here is a picture featuring the back of his head.
  • Posted these pictures of these shirt designs:

    Tim get some with reverse colors. Can you do some with White/Black and the other half with Black/White?
  • Acknowledged that a small HTML error fucks up the website's font when viewed using the Firefox browser. I don't plan on fixing this due to laziness.
  • Thought about adding a public poll to the music section of the website. This option would allow feedback regarding the music posted.
  • Improved some minor graphic work.
Thats it for now. Later.

  Whats up fellas? Thank you guys alot+infinity(a ridiculous amount that no one would lose sleep over trying to fathom)for running sound Sat night. We were very pleased with the turnout and the high caliber of the show. It was also nice to sit down and eat like gansters in the italian resteraunt and make all kinds of silly ruckus. Looking foreward to being there when you guys "light it up" for the people at Reactor One. The band spelling is actually "Infidel" (But whose counting vowels anyways? Leave that to Vannah White.) Thanks again for the kind words and the good time vibes and we will most definately see you in Louisa.

  Hey everyone! Wanted to let you know that butch and I did sound for our friends in the band INFADEL. Hope I spelled that correctly. Anyways, they kicked ass!! and we we're proud to help them out!!...besides...we all had a blast!!! ask them! Also, I wanted to correct an earlier post thet we were going to play on the 4th of Feb. That isnt the case.After meeting the owner of the REACTOR,face to face,..on the night INFADEL played. WE decided to move the date back since I did break my hand on Dec. 30th. Sorry I wanted to keep it a secret as not to scare anyone in the band. but the Dr. says I'll be good enuff to shred in a couple o' weeks!! (big sigh of relief) This way it will give us a couple days to get in some new years rehearsals in. Anyways, the new "dates " are FEB..10th,&11th. Wich is a FRI. and SAT. So,.we are really looking forward to it!!! The owner, Dave and myself have decided to relocate the stage area to the front of the club.Its kind of a must because of our backline and full P.A. system wont allow us to setup in the rear as most bands do. So, we are looking forward to meeting alot of new SMOKINJOE fans and hopefully we will see our friends from INFADEL as well. AS we are looking forward to doing a big venue with them this summer! see you there. THE REACTOR,...Main St. in Louisa Va.

  Hey evryone, sorry I've been slack but wanted to let you know that "smokin joe " has sold out two weekends in a row at the "Glenn Allen Ampitheatre" No one was more surprised than us!!! We actually had a bigger attendance than Innsbrook After Hours...with Delbert McClinton. You all should have seen the look on Butch's face when Delbert showed up after his gig at Innsbrook!!!!The funny thing was,..we had already played "ROLL THE DICE" Delbert wanted us to play it again,...but as all of you who were there know,..I told him to buy a friggin' ticket to the next Smokin'joe show!! He was very curtious though. He did dit in on "gimme three steps" and he didnt honk not one note.Though nobody heard what he was playin'. But all in all it was a good time!! We all felt it the next day!! And hey!!! our apologies go out to Pleasants Landing...as we didnt make the gig due to weather. Last but not least I want to thank Sammy nd Eddy for they're grear efforts on selling the "SMOKIN'JOE"rocks.com T-shirts! All the $$ raised for the hurricane victims of Oklahoma were desperately appreciated!Almost $2.600.00 WOW! Thanxs again everyone!!!Welp, until the next really late report,.....I will talk at cha then........Timbo

  I really need to make this page limit it's self some how.

The way it's setup it will simply continue on forever. In other words a year from now there will be 1000 posts all on this one page.

Maybe I will just make it keep the last 50 entries or so.

I could buy some forum software for this site but I'm not going to do that because this site doesn't generate revenue to compensate. And I'm definitely not installing some free script from the internet that somebody wrote.

So I'm forced to write my own and I suck as a programmer so bare with me.

I'll figure a way out and then finish the contact page. After that I am taking a extended break from working on this site.
